and Eva take on the Big Bad Ben (and are joined by Vic)

Much as I would like
to be seen as a hero I actually turned back at the headwall of Coire Leis. I was concerned about the very loose snow
conditions. The top left picture has an arrow showing where I turned back.
Vic and Eva both pressed on up the CMD Aręte and topped out the Big Bad One
in a whiteout. Anyway I take my hat off to Vic, she
looked up at Coire Leis and said “we’ll go up to
the left, because that slope on the right might avalanche”. 60 minutes later
there was a noise like an explosion and it DID avalanche! |
